Key Responsibilities- Assist the Store Manager in directing and supervising the retail operations of the store, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Take ownership and accountability of the store in the absence of the Store Manager.
- Assist with the preparation of reports and paperwork, and supervise staff to ensure efficient operations.
- Uphold professional conduct at all times, maintaining a positive attitude and demeanor.
- Meet, greet, and thank customers in a friendly and timely manner, providing exceptional customer service and handling complaints effectively.
- Help customers purchase products by utilizing product and promotions knowledge.
- Effectively operate and maintain transactional equipment, including cash registers, electronic safes, and lottery systems.
- Provide training and assistance to customer service associates, leading by example and promoting a positive work environment.
- Adhere to the Company Loss Prevention Policy, ensuring proper cash handling procedures and maintaining security controls.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the store, including food service equipment and facilities.
- Verify customer age restrictions for age-restricted products.
- Provide answers and information to store personnel regarding company policies and procedures.
- Document incidents and maintain accurate records.
- 2-4 years of experience as a Supervisor or Lead Customer Service Associate in a retail environment.
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and oral.
- Strong capability to understand and follow instructions.
- Basic arithmetic operations skills.
- Demonstrated experience operating cash registers, computer consoles, and other related equipment.
- Knowledge of proper sanitation and safety requirements.
- Ability to learn and perform cleaning methods and procedures.
- Familiarity with computer operations.
- Excellent multi-tasking skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods.
- Experience planning, coordinating, and monitoring the work of others.
- Ability to maintain logs, records, and reports.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
