Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Store Manager in directing and supervising the retail operations of the store, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Take ownership and accountability of the store in the absence of the Store Manager.
  • Assist with the preparation of reports and paperwork, and supervise staff to ensure efficient operations.
  • Uphold professional conduct at all times, maintaining a positive attitude and demeanor.
  • Meet, greet, and thank customers in a friendly and timely manner, providing exceptional customer service and handling complaints effectively.
  • Help customers purchase products by utilizing product and promotions knowledge.
  • Effectively operate and maintain transactional equipment, including cash registers, electronic safes, and lottery systems.
  • Provide training and assistance to customer service associates, leading by example and promoting a positive work environment.
  • Adhere to the Company Loss Prevention Policy, ensuring proper cash handling procedures and maintaining security controls.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the store, including food service equipment and facilities.
  • Verify customer age restrictions for age-restricted products.
  • Provide answers and information to store personnel regarding company policies and procedures.
  • Document incidents and maintain accurate records.
Requirements
  • 2-4 years of experience as a Supervisor or Lead Customer Service Associate in a retail environment.
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and oral.
  • Strong capability to understand and follow instructions.
  • Basic arithmetic operations skills.
  • Demonstrated experience operating cash registers, computer consoles, and other related equipment.
  • Knowledge of proper sanitation and safety requirements.
  • Ability to learn and perform cleaning methods and procedures.
  • Familiarity with computer operations.
  • Excellent multi-tasking skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods.
  • Experience planning, coordinating, and monitoring the work of others.
  • Ability to maintain logs, records, and reports.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
