Civil Infrastructure Development Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Design Engineer to join our team in Albuquerque, NM. As a Civil Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and managing civil engineering projects, including water resources, transportation, utilities & land development.

The ideal candidate is someone who has a strong background in civil engineering, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Advanced engineering planning for large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Master planning efforts for community developments of various sizes.
  • Design and planning support for Master Planned communities.
  • Site Development Plans, Plats, and Construction Documents preparation and submission.
  • Surface modeling and design using AutoCAD and other CAD products.
  • Detailed roadway corridor surface modeling and design.
  • Engineering reports and documents preparation.
  • Construction plans and specifications production.
  • Quantity take-offs and tabulations preparation.
  • Professional organization participation.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Licensed as a Professional Engineer in New Mexico, or able to obtain the license within 6 months.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Proficiency in standard engineering techniques, reference materials, and design criteria.
  • Experience with CAD design tools such as AutoCAD/Civil3D, MicroStation/InRoads, or similar.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Working knowledge of PowerPoint is preferred.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to present projects at public hearings and meetings.
  • Ability to adhere to an assigned work plan, manage time effectively, and complete tasks on schedule and within budget.
  • Availability to occasionally work overtime, including weekends, as needed.
  • Willingness for occasional overnight travel.

NV5 offers a competitive compensation and benefits package including medical, dental, life insurance, PTO, 401(k) and professional development/advancement opportunities. The estimated salary for this position is $90,000 - $115,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
