Job Summary

CORA is seeking a skilled Client Advocate to provide crisis intervention, case management, and supportive services to clients in our confidential safe houses. As a key member of our Crisis Intervention Services team, you will provide a safe, healthy, and welcoming environment for all clients, while also facilitating access to emergency resources and providing targeted case management and advocacy support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide crisis intervention, conflict resolution support, mobile advocacy, and de-escalation intervention for residents on-site.
  • Develop individualized short-term service plan goals with safe house residents and facilitate resident activities, support groups, and educational workshops.
  • Monitor and enforce residential guidelines to maintain the confidentiality, safety, and security of the site.
  • Provide accompaniment and/or transportation to client appointments, as needed, and complete required documentation and enter data into client database in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Collaborate effectively with other departments and outside agencies to ensure successful service delivery and conduct community outreach, as needed, to optimize referral relationships with partner agencies.
Requirements
  • BA degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience in the provision of social services.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish REQUIRED.
  • Experience working with survivors of domestic violence preferred, including completion of 40-hour domestic violence training.
  • Ability to provide culturally competent services and work with a diverse staff and clientele in an empathetic and non-judgmental manner.
