Director of Operations Job Description

RHD Boston is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Operations to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, the Director of Operations will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our programs and services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and agency standards.
  • Collaborate with program managers to identify and address operational issues and implement solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Develop and manage budgets for operational expenses, including personnel, supplies, and equipment.
  • Ensure the maintenance of accurate and up-to-date records and reports, including property inspection reports, maintenance records, and client fund management.
  • Provide training and support to staff on operational procedures and policies.
  • Conduct regular site visits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and agency standards.
  • Develop and implement emergency evacuation safety plans (EESP's) and ensure compliance with state regulations.
  • Monitor and report on operational metrics, including program participation, client satisfaction, and staff performance.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in a related field, such as business administration, public administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in a nonprofit human services organization.
  • Familiarity with state regulations governing services to individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups of people.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
