Job Summary:

As a Broadband Specialist I (Field Technician) at Mediacom Communications Corporation, you will play a crucial role in delivering excellent customer experiences by installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting our cable television and broadband services. In this position, you will be responsible for driving company vans, interacting with customers, and representing Mediacom in a professional manner. We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install new drops, disconnect existing services, and perform additional installations as required
• Analyze picture quality and ensure acceptability of picture delivered following installation
• Work with connectors, fasteners, and wire, using customary CATV hand and power tools
• Complete paperwork functions as prescribed by system management
• Read signal levels, add and subtract levels in installation problems, and maintain proper clearances
• Climb poles with proper equipment, ladders, or other structures as needed
• Lift and carry loads up to 100 lbs. and work within limited confines
• Inform customers of FCC rules and company policies
• Generate additional company revenue through effective sales techniques

Requirements:

• No experience required, but a high school diploma or GED is required
• Valid driver's license required with a satisfactory driving record
• General level of mechanical and consumer devices knowledge
• Ability to interact and communicate with customers and coworkers
• Ability to work in high or tight spaces, varying weather conditions, and at various heights
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required
