We are seeking a dedicated Patient Care Assistant to join our healthcare team. This role is essential in providing compassionate support to patients, particularly in a high-acuity medical-surgical environment. The successful candidate will engage in post-operative care for individuals recovering from various surgical procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the recovery process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist patients with daily personal care tasks to facilitate their recovery.
  • Implement basic nursing techniques to enhance patient wellness.
  • Maintain a secure and safe environment for all patients.
  • Provide administrative assistance as needed.
  • Keep up-to-date with necessary skills and competencies.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisory staff.

Compensation: Competitive hourly wage

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent

Experience: No prior experience necessary; relevant experience is preferred.

Licensure: Must possess Certified Nursing Aide certification (CNA) through the appropriate regulatory body. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification is also required.

Physical Requirements:

This position may require bending, lifting, and the ability to communicate effectively. Candidates should be prepared for potential exposure to chemicals and infectious materials.
