Join Our Team as a Certified Nurse Midwife II

Emory University is seeking a highly skilled Certified Nurse Midwife II to join our team in the Department of Gynecology & Obstetrics. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional care to our patients, working closely with our obstetric and gynecologic specialists to deliver high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the antepartal, intrapartal, postpartal, and interconceptual care of patients with essentially normal progress.
  • Oversee the immediate care of mothers and their newborns, providing direct nursing care as needed.
  • Provide gynecologic and contraceptive care, assessing patient needs and collaborating with others to establish care plans.
  • Document all condition progress or change, ensuring accurate and timely communication with the healthcare team.
  • Provide patient and family education to ensure a full understanding of continued care, promoting health and wellness.
  • Offer clinical instruction and supervision to nurse-midwifery and other students, fostering the next generation of healthcare professionals.
Requirements:
  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
  • A master's degree in nursing or a related field.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Georgia or a current temporary permit to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Georgia.
  • Position requires a CNM/APP license in the state of Georgia.
