Position Overview
The Receptionist plays a vital role in creating a welcoming environment for visitors by providing assistance to the Community Services Division. This position encompasses a variety of responsibilities aimed at supporting the operational goals of the department. The Receptionist is expected to embody the Purpose and Values of the Poarch Band of Creek Indians and exceed expectations in their role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver clerical support to the Community Services Division.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the appropriate personnel.
  • Manage applications for various programs, ensuring proper logging and routing to relevant staff.
  • Welcome visitors with a friendly demeanor, fostering a positive image for the organization.
  • Input all program-related data accurately.
  • Organize and maintain a centralized calendar for meetings and events.
  • Evaluate client needs and provide accurate information and assistance.
  • Handle incoming phone calls, directing them to the appropriate staff and relaying messages as necessary.
  • Open and close the Community Center as required.
  • Compile monthly reports and statistics.
  • Conduct general errands for the division, including mail and package collection.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Preferred experience includes six months in a confidential clerical environment.
  • Certification in 'Mandatory Reporter Training' is required or must be obtained within the first week of employment.
  • First Aid Certification, including CPR and Life Saving, is required or must be obtained within ninety days of hire.
  • Certification in 'ServSafe Training' is required or must be obtained within thirty days of employment.

  • Possess a character that earns the trust of participants, parents, and the community.
  • Adept at multitasking with a strong commitment to quality.
  • Exhibit exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in English, including spelling, punctuation, and basic writing skills.
  • Have a working knowledge of computers and various software applications.
  • Exhibit sound judgment and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Skilled in the operation of standard office equipment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff and engage positively with the public.
Additional Requirements
  • Flexibility to work irregular hours, including late shifts.
  • Successful completion of a criminal and character background check is mandatory.
  • Willingness to travel for training and development opportunities.
  • Capability to perform all duties and responsibilities associated with this position.
