Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (BSN/RN) to join our esteemed team at New York Cancer & Blood Specialists (NYCBS). Our organization is committed to transforming the landscape of cancer and blood disorder treatment through innovative practices and a patient-centered approach.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop personalized care strategies tailored to each patient's needs.
  • Identify and manage cancer-related complications effectively.
  • Continuously monitor and document vital statistics including weight and height.
  • Engage collaboratively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to enhance patient care.
  • Participate in cancer research initiatives aimed at improving treatment methodologies.
  • Offer supportive resources to patients and their families to foster a positive healing environment.
  • Educate patients and their families about treatment processes and expectations.
  • Regularly assess and record patient progress throughout their treatment journey.
  • Document patient responses to therapies and medications accurately.
  • Complete Medication Administration Records (MAR) post-treatment.
  • Provide tailored discharge instructions along with emergency contact information.

Qualifications:

  • Current RN License in the State of New York.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in outpatient oncology and 1 year in medication administration.
  • Strong assessment, communication, and organizational abilities.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Bilingual candidates (English/Spanish) are preferred.
