Oncology Clinical Nurse Specialist

Position Overview:
As a vital member of our healthcare team, the Oncology Clinical Nurse Specialist will deliver compassionate and evidence-based nursing care to patients and families affected by cancer. Our institution is dedicated to fostering a healing environment that promotes innovation and excellence in patient care.
Your Role:
- Provide exceptional nursing care to oncology patients and their families.
- Collaborate effectively with the radiology team to ensure comprehensive patient management.
- Oversee a caseload of patients undergoing diagnostic imaging procedures.
- Assist staff in obtaining IV access and administering radiologic contrast agents.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and offer education and symptom management to patients and families.
- Participate in a multidisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care throughout treatment and follow-up.
Qualifications:
- Active New York State RN license and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- A minimum of 1.5 years of relevant clinical experience is required.
- Preferred experience in oncology, with 1.5 to 2 years being highly desirable.
- Experience in radiology and IV skills is advantageous.
- BCLS certification is required; ACLS certification is preferred.
- National Certification is a plus.
Work Schedule:
This is a part-time position requiring two 10-hour shifts, flexibly scheduled between 7:00 AM and 8:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with weekend rotation.
Compensation:
The pay range for this position is $119,000 to $154,450.
