Senior IT Project Manager

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage project phases, including scoping, estimating, scheduling, resource allocation, budgeting, and monitoring.
- Deliver multiple and simultaneous software/infrastructure projects and act as the single point of contact.
- Define project scope and objectives, and evaluate and define appropriate ownership responsibilities for projects.
- Act as an expert project consultant and provide strategic advice and consultation for the design and implementation of effective IT business processes.
- Interface with all areas affected by the project, including end users, computer services, and client services.
- Manage project budget and ensure proper documentation and controls are in force and effective.
- Develop detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports.
- Manage the integration of vendor tasks, review vendor deliverables, and work to mitigate potential risk to the company.
- Provide effective management and oversee the management of large, complex IT projects.
- Proactively understand stakeholders' priorities, requirements, and operational impacts.
- Proactively manage expectations and actively lead the team towards the successful completion of deliverables within identified business parameters.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management, or a related field, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A minimum of seven years of related experience resulting in demonstrated skills in project management.
- Analytical and evaluation skills to define critical tasks, establish a logical sequence of events, identify individuals/teams, timelines, and outcomes, and to produce project plans.
- Anticipate and resolve obstacles before they adversely impact schedule, scope, or budget.
- Project management skills to develop and monitor work agreements and budgets, determine specifications, schedules, timelines, and define deliverables.
- Interpersonal and communication skills to facilitate team efforts, provide guidance and direction to team members, and communicate project objectives, parameters, status, and outcomes.
- Financial modeling to quantify costs and benefits of projects and to track and maintain project budgets.
- Expertise in project management techniques, the company's business, applicable policies, procedures, and practices, and federal, state, and local laws.
- Expertise in the use of technical applications, software (such as Microsoft Project), and other relevant tools.
Preferences:
- PMP or other professional project management certification.
