Barnsco Texas, a leading provider of equipment sales, rentals, and maintenance services in the concrete construction industry, is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Maintenance Specialist to join our team. Located in Texas since 1984, we offer a unique environment that encourages individual growth and recognizes individual performance and hard work.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of hands-on experience in equipment maintenance, preferably within the construction or rental industries. A High School Diploma or GED is required, along with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to select appropriate repair courses of action.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspecting and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical problems on machinery and equipment
  • Servicing forklifts, tractors, and trailers, ensuring everything runs smoothly
  • Performing Preventive Maintenance (oil changes, lubrication, filter changes, etc.)
  • Conducting thorough inspections and safety checks to ensure compliance and safety
  • Troubleshooting and submitting repair bids to the Equipment Service Manager
  • Assisting customers with equipment-related concerns
  • Providing on-the-spot road calls and emergency services when needed
  • Helping train new employees and sharing your expertise
  • Documenting and submitting paperwork on time to the Equipment Service Manager
  • Ensuring clear and consistent communication with the management team and your colleagues

Requirements:

A valid and current driver's license and the ability to operate equipment safelyAbility to lift up to 75 pounds, perform manual tasks, and work with tools effectivelyFabrication experience is a plus, but not required
