Heavy Equipment Technician

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Traveling Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing heavy construction equipment on-site at various locations throughout New Mexico.
About the Role:
- Maintain and repair new and rebuilt/repaired heavy equipment
- Service and maintain equipment sold and/or owned by our company
- Remove, disassemble, assemble, and install components and parts
- Test, measure, and adjust engine and machine systems and components
- Diagnose and troubleshoot machine and engine malfunctions and failures
- Make recommendations as to repairs meeting warranty criteria
- Order replacement parts ensuring that parts orders are correct and complete at the time of order
- Clean, repair, recondition, and maintain equipment and components
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in diesel engine or earthmoving repair from an accredited technical school PREFERRED
- Experience in heavy equipment, engine
- Must own tools (significant amount)

Estimated salary: $35.00 - $42.00 per hour plus a daily per diem of $168. The total annual compensation package is estimated to be around $73,600 - $89,440 depending on the location and number of working days.
