Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Director to join our team at Riverside Medical Clinic Administration. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of HR policies and procedures, coordinating with client facilities, and ensuring the smooth operation of our HR functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Validate daily time slips and prepare weekly payroll summary
  • Oversee the processing of new hire applications
  • Interview and hire staff of various disciplines
  • Process new hire staff meeting health screening and licensure verification
  • Custodian for Petty Cash Fund and cash advance checks
  • Process all time requests of employees
  • Address questions or problems of employees, management in regards to staffing and/or payroll issues
  • Provide information regarding appropriate mode of discipline in accordance with organizational policies and procedures
  • Monitor issued disciplines to ensure appropriateness and timeliness
  • Consistently communicate with the Director of Nursing issues regarding licensure, certification, behavior, medication error, and any gross negligence about patient safety
  • Process new hire applications for review by the Director of Nursing
  • Prepare reports when requested such as attendance, licensure, certification, and budgetary reports
  • Facilitate New Hire In-service training for new employees when Director of Nursing is unavailable
  • Authorize and offer overtime as necessary for the efficiency of business operations
  • Coordinate with employees and Worker's Compensation Company for incidents and injuries
  • Maintain a neat and safe work area for which employee is specifically or generally responsible
  • Establish and maintain courteous, cooperative relations with the public and other personnel including telephone etiquette
  • Exhibit excellent customer relations to employees, visitors, and co-workers; show courtesy, compassion, and respect
  • Interact with customers promptly and courteously
  • Demonstrate the use of effective working relationship with all health care team members
  • Recognize cultural diversity in the workforce and modify approach based on this diversity
  • Maintain confidentiality in all areas of communication
  • Demonstrate effective and professional communication methods and skills using lines of authority appropriately
  • Utilize resource manuals to obtain information as needed
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Arts or related field preferred
  • Comprehensive knowledge of HR policies, staffing, and responsibilities of each type of discipline
  • Payroll experience preferred
  • Computer experience required
  • Ability to use and apply effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English
