About the Role

The Software Application Developer plays a crucial role in shaping innovative custom software solutions tailored to meet the unique business requirements of our organization. You will collaborate closely with IT and business teams to ensure that our software applications effectively drive our operations and support our strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and build custom software applications that effectively address specific organizational needs.
  • Conduct thorough testing and debugging of software applications to ensure they meet high-quality standards.
  • Maintain and update existing software applications to enhance their performance and usability.
  • Engage with IT and business teams to ensure software applications align with technological and operational needs.
  • Keep up-to-date with emerging technologies and programming languages, recommending new approaches when beneficial.
  • Create and maintain documentation for software applications, including user manuals, technical specifications, and design documents.
  • Provide end-user support by troubleshooting issues and resolving technical challenges.
  • Participate in scrums with IT colleagues, business owners, and stakeholders, keeping them informed on projects' progress and upcoming tasks.

Qualifications:

Education: A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is preferred, alongside 5 years of development experience.

Experience: 5+ years of software development experience with proficiency in multiple programming languages and development tools, including code creation and intranet site development.

Technical Knowledge: Strong technical foundation with expertise in programming languages such as Java, Python, C++, or C#, as well as tools like Git, JIRA, and Visual Studio. Experience in web and desktop application development is highly desirable, particularly with .Net and Microsoft SharePoint.

Estimated Salary: $85,150 - $153,925 per year.
