Program Coordinator for Entrepreneurship Programs, Center for Regional Economic Advancement, Cornell University

Cornell University's Center for Regional Economic Advancement is seeking a highly motivated and organized Program Coordinator to support the development and implementation of entrepreneurship programs. The successful candidate will work closely with the Program Directors and Managers to ensure seamless coordination and support for various initiatives.

The Program Coordinator will be responsible for:

  • Establishing program timelines and managing application and reporting cycles
  • Providing logistical support for events, including content sessions and networking events
  • Coordinating the application process for entrepreneurship programs, including scheduling interviews and supporting the selection process
  • Managing communication with program participants and ensuring a positive experience throughout the program lifecycle
  • Scheduling and tracking meetings for the team of Entrepreneurs in Residence
  • Maintaining oversight of physical programmatic spaces and managing audio/visual equipment
  • Maintaining staff access to program systems and troubleshooting minor issues

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in program coordination, event management, or administrative roles within a similar environment. They will also have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders. Key Responsibilities:

  • Program Coordination: Collaborate with Program Directors and Managers to establish program timelines, manage application and reporting cycles, and provide logistical support for events.
  • Application and Interview Process: Coordinate the application process for entrepreneurship programs, including scheduling interviews and supporting the selection process.
  • Participant Support: Manage communication with program participants, ensuring a positive experience throughout the program lifecycle.
  • Meeting Management: Schedule and track meetings for our team of Entrepreneurs in Residence, ensuring efficient use of their time and resources.
  • Facilities and Equipment Oversight: Maintain oversight of physical programmatic spaces, manage audio/visual equipment, and ensure facilities meet program needs.
  • Systems Management: Maintain staff access to program systems, troubleshoot minor issues, and collaborate with IT or relevant stakeholders to resolve technical challenges.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree and 2-4 years of relevant experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders.
  • Aptitude to resolve complex issues with sound judgment and minimal supervision.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with shifting priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Proven experience in program coordination, event management, or administrative roles within a similar environment.
  • Experience using systems like Airtable, Box, Calendly, Excel, Eventbrite, Mailchimp, Qualtrics, Salesforce, Zoom, etc.
