Job Overview

POSITION OBJECTIVE

As a Feed Production Specialist, you will engage in mastering the intricacies of the feed manufacturing process.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Acquire knowledge of the comprehensive material flow within the feed production facility, encompassing receiving, grinding, batching, pelleting, and loading operations.
  • Participate in cross-training across all production and maintenance sectors, achieving proficiency in all facets of plant automation.
  • Oversee and strategize production requirements for each operational segment.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization in all areas of the feed production facility and its surrounding grounds.
  • Execute all responsibilities in alignment with Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and FDA Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) standards.
  • Complete necessary documentation and develop computer skills to track materials, adhering to established procedures for optimal material flow.
  • Comprehend and abide by safety regulations in accordance with standard operating procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent; or 1+ years of relevant experience and/or training; or a suitable combination of education and experience is preferred.
  • Ability to compose reports and business correspondence, effectively present information, and respond to inquiries from management, colleagues, and visitors.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Capable of making decisions on routine matters by utilizing company policies, procedures, and guidance from senior management.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred but not mandatory.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision capabilities required for this role include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
