The Opportunity

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a skilled Communication Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in advancing our mission by designing, developing, and producing effective communication materials and media that support our clients in the space and defense industry.

As a Communication Specialist, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our team to create awareness of mission activities and disseminate key messages to internal and external stakeholders. Your creative-thinking and business-oriented mindset will guide you in developing innovative solutions to complex problems, and your ability to interact professionally with senior government leaders will be essential in building strong relationships with our clients.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and produce internal and external communication materials and media, including news articles, talking points, briefings, workforce messages, and content for websites, newsletters, and other communication products.
  • Collaborate with our team to create awareness of mission activities and disseminate key messages to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with senior government leaders and other key stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Author news articles, develop talking points, and create briefings, workforce messages, content for websites, newsletters, and other communication products for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work with our team to design, develop, and produce communication campaigns and products to support our clients in the space and defense industry.
Requirements
  • 6+ years of experience in communication or journalism.
  • Ability to interact professionally with senior government leaders.
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.
  • Bachelor's degree in communication or journalism.
Clearance

Salary at Booz Allen Hamilton is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $54,000.00 to $123,000.00 (annualized USD).

If this position is listed as remote or hybrid, you'll periodically work from a Booz Allen or client site facility.

If this position is listed as onsite, you'll work with colleagues and clients in person, as needed for the specific role.
