We are seeking a skilled Radio Communications Technician to join our team at KBR. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, specifying, and maintaining communication systems, including satellite, line of sight, fiber optic, phone, and public address systems.
Key Responsibilities- Install, maintain, and repair radio communication systems and equipment.
- Test and calibrate components to ensure proper functioning.
- Troubleshoot issues with radio equipment and systems.
- Manage inventory of communications equipment and supplies.
- Maintain Quality Control: Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure that all installations and repairs meet or exceed the set standards.
- Facilitate Team Communication: Ensure clear and consistent communication within the team and with other project stakeholders to keep everyone informed and aligned on project goals and updates.
- Undergraduate degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, or a similar field.
- 5+ years of experience in radio communications technology and troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of radio frequency (RF) engineering principles.
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and manuals.
- This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. Must possess an active U.S Government Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility required. Willingness to take a polygraph and upgrade clearance as required.
- High School Diploma or GED: Required as a basic educational foundation.
- Attention to Detail: Precision and attention to detail to ensure high-quality service delivery and compliance with safety standards.
- Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing conditions, technologies, and requirements.
- Decision-Making Ability: Strong decision-making skills to resolve issues quickly and effectively under pressure.
