Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Senior Lecturer on Mathematics to join our team at Harvard University. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching three undergraduate mathematics courses per academic year, with the possibility of coordinating a multi-sectioned course for non-mathematics majors.

Responsibilities

  • Teach three undergraduate mathematics courses per academic year
  • Coordinate a multi-sectioned course for non-mathematics majors (optional)
  • Carry out administrative and advising duties as required by the Department

Requirements

  • Doctorate in Mathematics or a related discipline required by the time the appointment begins
  • Strong background in advanced mathematics and a sophisticated understanding of undergraduate teaching, learning, and curricular issues
  • Considerable experience teaching mathematics at the undergraduate level, with a demonstrated ability to teach within the tenured associate or full professor ranks at a university or peer undergraduate institution
