Job Title: Registered Nurse Neuro Med/Surg FT NightsJob Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Neuro Med/Surg team at South Shore Health. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care transitions, and promoting a culture of safety and excellence.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized, outcome-oriented nursing care through the use of the nursing process.
  • Manage medication administration, including transcribing, recording, and reconciling medications.
  • Develop, discuss, and communicate a prioritized problem list/plan of care for each patient.
  • Assess, evaluate, and update individualized plans of care for patients, documenting outcomes.
  • Continuously assess and reassess patient care needs, identifying and documenting patient/family/significant other teaching needs.
  • Document all patient care following departmental and hospital policies and procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care transitions.
  • Foster a culture of safety, promoting a safe environment for patients, families, and staff.
  • Participate in performance improvement initiatives, incorporating evidence-based practice, research, and quality improvement.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Previous acute care RN experience preferred.
  • Current RN licensure in Massachusetts.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification, or other certifications as required by the department.
