DARPA Flight Test Engineer Job Description

Amentum is a leading provider of engineering, scientific, and program management support services to top U.S. government agencies, including DARPA, NASA, and the Department of Homeland Security.

We are currently seeking a talented and dynamic individual to support DARPA in formulating, monitoring, and transitioning advanced research and development programs to the U.S. military.

The selected candidate will work closely with DARPA Program Managers and high-level personnel throughout the government and industry research and development communities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing technical support and subject matter expertise in monitoring the execution of advanced technology development and demonstration programs.
  • Performing independent technical assessments and feasibility analyses of new technologies and system designs.
  • Planning, managing, attending, monitoring, and reporting on system flight and ground testing and demonstrations.
  • Supporting technical interchange meetings and design reviews.
  • Identifying and implementing new program concepts.
  • Providing program management and acquisition support.
  • Authoring program status briefings and technical reports.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of a B.S. in Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics with at least 8 years of flight test experience or an M.S. degree with 6 years of flight test experience or 20 years of experience in flight test domain with a Bachelor of Arts.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance.
  • US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.
