Amentum is seeking a highly skilled Space Science Engineer to join our team in supporting the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA). As a key member of our team, you will work on advanced technology development and demonstration programs in multiple areas, including hypersonics, Unmanned Air Vehicle and Autonomous Systems, advanced sensors, propulsion, and space science systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support in monitoring the execution of advanced technology development and prototype demonstration programs
  • Perform independent technical assessments and feasibility analyses of new technologies and system designs
  • Monitor system field testing and demonstrations
  • Support technical interchange meetings and design reviews
  • Author program reports
Requirements
  • BS plus 20 years of experience, MS and 10 years of experience, or a PhD and 5 years of experience
  • Experience in relevant Space Systems development programs
  • Managed and led small IPTs and employees requiring annual salary reviews
  • Active Top Secret US Government Clearance
  • Ability to work in a dynamic team environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to obtain and maintain SCI and SAP US Government eligibility
