Role Overview
The Pet Care Team Leader is an essential part of our veterinary team, assisting the Practice Manager, veterinarians, and veterinary technicians. Your primary responsibility will be to uphold the safety and health of pets, clients, and fellow team members while ensuring the delivery of exceptional veterinary care.

Qualifications
Preferred education includes a certificate from a NAVTA-approved veterinary assistant program or a combination of education, training, and experience that equips you with the necessary skills. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Experience Requirements
Candidates should possess the ability to perform all essential skills associated with NAVTA-approved veterinary assistant programs, contributing to the overall efficiency of our practice.

A Day in the Life
As a Pet Care Team Leader, you will consistently deliver professional and exceptional service, ensuring a comfortable environment for both clients and their pets. Your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Facilitating the smooth flow of patients
  • Collaborating effectively with veterinarians and veterinary technicians
  • Executing or preparing procedures that do not require direct veterinarian or technician involvement
  • Maintaining hospital standards to ensure the safety of pets and the cleanliness of treatment areas, exam rooms, and laboratories
  • Educating clients about our Optimum Wellness Plans and the significance of preventive care
  • Providing mentorship to fellow team members
