Your Role
As a Veterinary Assistant, you will play a crucial role in the lives of our patients by delivering comprehensive care. Your responsibilities will include hands-on support for outpatient treatments, performing laboratory tests, and assisting with patient admissions and discharges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians in delivering high-quality veterinary care and educating clients.
- Support the medical team to enhance productivity and maintain efficient patient flow.
- Participate in surgical procedures in accordance with state regulations for veterinary technicians.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding their pets' health and available treatment options.
- Maintain accurate medical records with the assistance of practice management systems.
- Gather relevant health histories from clients and ensure proper documentation.
- Utilize safe restraint techniques and uphold cleanliness in treatment areas and exam rooms.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to fellow team members.
Previous experience as a veterinary assistant is required.
Passion for delivering exceptional patient care.
Positive attitude and strong communication skills.
Proficiency in blood draws, medical histories, and basic vital signs.
Surgical experience is preferred but not mandatory.
