Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for procedures, position them on the exam table, and assist with changing clothes as needed.
  • Transport patients to and from procedure rooms and nursing units, ensuring their safety and comfort.
  • Escort patients to the bathroom and provide assistance as required.
  • Load contrast into pressure injectors according to manufacturer guidelines.
  • Monitor environmental maintenance of the department, cleaning up used supplies, linen, and equipment after each procedure.
  • Stock rooms with necessary supplies and linens daily.
  • Set up trays, supplies, and saline solutions for procedures while maintaining a sterile field.
  • Maintain records and forms in the department, monitoring inventory of medical materials and office supplies.
  • Prepare equipment and supplies for processing by the Sterile Processing Department.
  • Act as a liaison between the Radiology Department and other departments as needed.
  • Provide coverage at the Reception Desk, answering phones, greeting patients, directing visitors, and scheduling procedures as necessary.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Preferred additional training or experience as a Nursing Assistant.
  • Less than 1 year of experience required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Ability to read and write, with knowledge of grammar and arithmetic.
  • Proficiency in using standard office/medical equipment, including computers, data terminals, and sterilizing equipment.
