Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Newark is seeking a dedicated professional to support its Refugee Support Services program as an Intake Coordinator. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the reception area, assisting potential clients with program inquiries, and performing initial refugee program eligibility assessments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the reception area and provide a welcoming environment for clients
- Assist potential clients with program inquiries and provide general program information
- Perform initial refugee program eligibility assessments and direct clients to appropriate programs
- Place potential refugee clients in the group enrollment appointment sheet
- Provide community resources and answer main line calls and messages
- Manage the general inbox and distribute calls/messages accordingly
Requirements:
- High school diploma or 2 years of experience in customer service or a reception/front desk role
- Fluency in Spanish or Haitian Creole
- Previous experience in a non-profit or government setting preferred
