Position Title: Janitor

Overview:

The Janitor role is essential in ensuring a welcoming and safe atmosphere for visitors by upholding cleanliness across the Bogus Basin lodge facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain cleanliness in all designated areas, which includes tasks such as collecting litter, emptying waste bins, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and washing windows.
  2. Sanitize and replenish restroom supplies, while reporting any maintenance concerns to the relevant personnel.
  3. Clear pathways, stairs, decks, and entrances of snow and ice to ensure safety.
  4. Exhibit a professional demeanor towards both guests and team members.
  5. Enhance safety by adhering to established protocols and notifying supervisors of any hazardous conditions.
  6. Assist guests with inquiries or issues, and if unable to resolve, escalate to a supervisor or manager.

Additional Duties:

Carry out other related responsibilities as required.

Qualifications:

  • Strong commitment to the mission of Bogus Basin.
  • Ability to complete tasks accurately and efficiently, with or without supervision.
  • Capability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Frequent standing, balancing, walking, and reaching with hands and arms is required.
  • Occasional stooping, kneeling, or crouching may be necessary.
  • Must be able to lift, move, and/or support items weighing up to 35 lbs.
  • Manual dexterity to perform fundamental janitorial tasks such as stocking and cleaning.

Work Environment:

Work will take place in a restaurant setting, both indoors and outdoors, with potential exposure to varying weather conditions.
