Position Overview

iTalent Digital is on the lookout for a Business Intelligence Analyst to enhance our BI, Data & Analytics team. This role is primarily client-oriented, focusing on delivering impactful insights and analytics for our prominent technology and social media partners, particularly in the areas of Facilities and Culinary operations.

The selected candidate will be responsible for developing and sustaining analytical products, reporting, and performing analytical tasks specifically within the Facilities and Culinary sectors. The ideal individual will exhibit expertise in Business Intelligence (BI) and data analysis, with a strong command of SQL, Hive, and Tableau, adeptly navigating intricate data landscapes and prioritizing BI initiatives within these sectors.

This role necessitates in-office presence in Fremont, CA three times a week. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical coverage, a 401k plan, paid holidays, and more. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain analytical products to support Facilities and Culinary operations, enhancing existing tools and driving efficiency improvements.
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of spatial, financial, and behavioral data related to Facilities and on-campus services.
  • Construct queries to analyze data and integrate various data sources.
  • Create dashboards and visualizations tailored for diverse operational and executive audiences, ensuring designs are informative, polished, and succinct.
  • Utilize your data knowledge to address stakeholder inquiries with appropriate sources, working promptly on time-sensitive issues while maintaining accuracy.
  • Identify root causes of data quality issues and propose solutions with minimal supervision.
  • Effectively communicate issues, enhancements, and their impacts to both technical teams (data engineering) and non-technical business stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with various cross-functional teams within the Facilities & Culinary division, including:
    • Culinary Team: Oversee daily operations, purchasing, budget planning, and managing meal service.
    • Design Team: Assist in the design and setup of meeting rooms and amenity spaces.
    • Space Planning Team: Manage occupancy, desk assignments, team relocations, and business strategy.
    • Technical Space Team: Support laboratory standards and usage.
    • Transportation Team: Facilitate shuttle services, transportation needs, capacity planning, and commute analysis.

Internal Responsibilities:

  • Participate in regular internal practice community meetings.
  • Collaborate with the iTD practice team on industry thought leadership initiatives.
  • Contribute to client case studies and educational materials (blogs, media content).
  • Develop resources to support the Digital Transformation practice.
  • Engage in internal iTD networking events (both in-person and virtual).
  • Work with leadership on career advancement opportunities.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in managing, analyzing, and reporting on extensive data sets.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL.
  • Experience in building and maintaining Tableau dashboards with advanced features such as LOD calculations, data blending/joins, window functions, and parameters.
  • Proficient in Excel for data analysis and summarization.
  • Experience managing and analyzing data using Hive tables for efficient processing and insightful analysis.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of conveying complex issues clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to learn, operate, and troubleshoot independently.
  • Meticulous attention to detail regarding data integrity and dashboard design.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience in developing ETL processes.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python or R.
  • Background in Business Operations, Finance, People Analytics, or Product Analytics.
  • Experience in resolving data quality issues and translating technical challenges into understandable terms for non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to thrive in a hybrid work model with in-person attendance required three days a week in Fremont, CA.
