As an Information System Security Officer (ISSO), you will play a vital role in understanding client environments and translating their operational needs into effective technical solutions.
Your Role:
In this position, you will collaborate with a dedicated team to design and implement advanced cyber security capabilities for Overhead Persistent Infrared Radar systems. Your efforts will ensure that vital information is delivered to military personnel, enhancing their ability to respond to and prevent conflicts.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Establishing, documenting, and overseeing multiple ground system enclaves across various classification levels.
- Leading cyber accreditation processes, authority to connect evaluations, and security impact assessments.
- Conducting research on emerging requirements, technologies, and threats to enhance security measures.
- Utilizing innovative integration methodologies to improve remote sensing systems.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Security or Cybersecurity.
- At least 1 year of experience as an ISSO or ISSM providing information assurance support.
- Proven ability to interface effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Familiarity with system security protocols and authorization processes.
- Knowledge of NIST 800-37, NIST 800-53, or Intelligence Community Directive 503 standards.
- Possession of a TS/SCI clearance.
- A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Certifications such as Security+, CySA+, or DoD 8140 are preferred.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in network administration or computer operations.
- Familiarity with tools like Open RMF, Xacta, eMASS, and vulnerability assessment databases.
- Background in supporting cyber security initiatives within the intelligence community or military branches.
- Understanding of cloud architecture and virtualization concepts.
- Knowledge of networking protocols and security methodologies.
- Certifications such as CASP+, CISSP, or CISM are advantageous.
Clearance Requirements:
Applicants must undergo a security investigation and meet eligibility criteria for access to classified information; a TS/SCI clearance is mandatory.
