Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled, dynamic, and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to become a vital part of our fast-paced team.

This is a permanent role that offers a fantastic opportunity to collaborate with a vibrant group of professionals and make significant contributions to our financial health.

The Senior Accountant will take charge of preparing and analyzing financial reports, managing budgets, forecasting, journal entries, and overseeing general ledger activities.

This position is crucial for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial data and will play a key role in our month-end closing procedures.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
  • Manage the month-end closing process, including the preparation and posting of journal entries, reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, and review of income and expense accounts.
  • Develop and maintain budgets and forecasts, collaborating closely with department heads to ensure precise and timely projections.
  • Conduct thorough financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and potential areas for improvement.
  • Maintain the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and promptly.
  • Work with internal and external auditors during financial and operational audits.
  • Assist in creating and implementing accounting policies and procedures to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations by reviewing existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on necessary actions.
  • Perform ad-hoc reporting and analysis as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in an accounting role, focusing on financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and other accounting principles and procedures.
  • Experience in preparing journal entries and maintaining the general ledger.
  • Proven track record in managing the month-end closing process.
  • Proficient in financial reporting software and MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate substantial amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of explaining complex financial information clearly and concisely.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • CPA certification or progress towards certification is highly desirable.
