Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Accountant to join our fast-paced team at Jobot. This is a permanent position that offers an excellent opportunity to work with a vibrant team of professionals and contribute significantly to our financial health.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Oversee the month-end close process, including the preparation and posting of journal entries, reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, and review of income and expense accounts.
  • Develop and maintain budgets and forecasts, working closely with various department heads to ensure accurate and timely projections.
  • Conduct detailed financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and potential areas of improvement.
  • Maintain the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors during financial and operational audits.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.
  • Perform ad-hoc reporting and analysis as required.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in an accounting role, with a focus on financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and other accounting principles and procedures.
  • Experience in preparing journal entries and maintaining the general ledger.
  • Proven experience in managing the month-end close process.
  • Proficient in financial reporting software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • CPA certification or progress towards certification is highly desirable.
