Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare precise and timely estimates for HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection systems.
  • Engage with vendors to compile accurate cost assessments aligned with project specifications.
  • Analyze construction drawings and narratives to ensure comprehensive understanding.
  • Conduct quantity take-offs for HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection systems.
  • Provide pricing estimates per square foot during early design phases.
  • Utilize knowledge of various HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection equipment and systems for accurate pricing.
  • Understand productivity metrics and crew calculations based on site experience.
  • Collaborate with various agencies for estimating purposes.
  • Communicate effectively with the design team for scope clarifications.
  • Prepare Value Engineering and Change Order Estimates as necessary.
  • Document special conditions and considerations during the estimating process.
  • Assist in ongoing work estimates as required by the construction team.
  • Maintain organized and accurate project files.
  • Develop and sustain relationships with vendors and subcontractors.
  • Enhance estimating skills through continuous training.
  • Manage time effectively to meet estimating deadlines.
  • Familiarity with estimating software such as Sage and OST is preferred.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering; Master's degree preferred.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven initiative and the ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Positive attitude and flexibility towards assignments.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Effective problem-solving capabilities.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
  • Strong work ethic and adherence to company policies.
