Job Summary

APN Software Services Inc is seeking a skilled Payroll Analyst to assist in the preparation, distribution, and accounting of employee payroll.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and distribution of employee payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and federal and state regulations.
  • Serve as a liaison to employees and third-party payroll vendors to ensure payroll processing accurately reflects company-specific pay policies.
  • Audit employee pay records and reconcile totals by departmental cost center, location, etc.
  • Participate in payroll system upgrades and implementations.
  • Work directly with employees to resolve outstanding payroll inquiries and ensure FLSA status is correct in the system.
  • Interpret pay policies, including vacation, LOA, disability, workers' compensation, governmental regulations, withholding exemptions, etc., and ensure amounts/deductions are calculated and applied to various accounts correctly.
  • Ensure company compliance with federal and state payroll standards and stay current with changes in the law.
  • May assist with audits, prepare tax reports, and related documentation, and document payroll processes and procedures.
  • May train other payroll staff and serve as a backup to those who perform specialized tasks or activities.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in payroll processing and/or payroll operations.
  • Prefer 3+ years of payroll experience.
