Job Description

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year

As a Senior Software Engineer at General Motors, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining SAP applications and solutions. This role requires extensive experience in SAP development, including experience with SAP Fiori, SAPUI5, and OData services. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze business requirements, design technical solutions, ensure the successful implementation of SAP projects, and drive operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Development: Lead the design, development, testing, and deployment of SAP solutions, including enhancements, customizations, and integrations using SAP BTP, ABAP, SAP Fiori, SAPUI5, and other SAP technologies.
  • System Implementation: Participate in the full lifecycle of SAP projects, from requirement gathering and analysis to go-live and post-implementation support.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards and fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with functional teams, project managers, and other stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in STEM or a related field.
  • Overall 5+ years of experience in SAP development, including extensive experience developing and enhancing solutions developed in RICEFW, RAP & OData.
  • Strong experience with SAP Fiori, SAPUI5, and OData services.
  • Familiarity with SAP Cloud Platform, RISE, and SAP integration technologies (IDocs, RFC, BAPI, SOAP, REST).
  • Experience with SAP HANA and S/4HANA environments with S/4HANA upgrades and ECC to S/4HANA upgrades with code remediation.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in SAP BTP implementation for application development, automation, and data & analytics.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
