About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Safety Manager to join our team at Sunrise Systems, Inc. as a key member of our safety and risk management team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of processes to reduce workplace hazards and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct incident investigations and ergonomic reviews to identify root causes and develop effective corrective actions.
  • Compile and analyze data, documentation, and correspondence to ensure compliance with safety regulations and health and safety management system requirements.
  • Develop recommendations for health and safety processes/programs to meet client health and safety standards and comply with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Manage and review safety recordkeeping per OSHA guidelines and internal processes and procedures.
  • Coordinate safety audits and risk assessments to identify noncompliance with client standards processes and applicable laws and regulations.
  • Manage corrective action and preventative action processes.
  • Review new processes, equipment, and assets for potential hazards and compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Respond to questions and requests for information relevant to safety and health issues from acquired knowledge and experience.
  • Develop, direct, and may conduct safety presentations and training.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge and experience in a warehousing or manufacturing environment with a strong safety background.
  • Knowledge and experience in developing and providing safety training.
  • Safety degree and/or very strong manufacturing safety experience.
  • Strong skills in MS Office suite.
  • CSP accreditation preferred.
