Manufacturing Engineering Subject Matter Expert

We are seeking a highly experienced Manufacturing Engineering Subject Matter Expert to join our Advanced Programs line of business. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing expertise in manufacturing engineering and process improvement to support the development of new products and systems.
Key Responsibilities- Provide subject matter expertise in manufacturing engineering and process improvement to support the development of new products and systems.
- Interface with Global Supply Chain to review new product component and material selection to determine any potential cost or cycle time drivers.
- Support subcontractor producibility reviews and provide technical guidance to ensure compliance with company standards.
- Collaborate with program-specific Manufacturing Engineering and Design Engineering teams to ensure effective implementation of manufacturing processes.
- Develop and implement process improvements to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
- Bachelor's degree in an associated discipline or equivalent combination of experience and education.
- 10+ years of Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering experience.
- Experience with development programs and product design processes.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including team building and collaboration.
- Process improvement experience and knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles.
- Ability to interpret drawings, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, product/performance specifications, and systems integration technical data.
- Demonstrated effective communication skills, including verbal, listening, technical writing, and presentations.
- Bachelor's or higher degree in an engineering discipline.
- Understanding of missile system products, laser weapons systems, and/or similar complexity products.
- Previous MFC program experience.
- Lean / Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification.
- Ability to utilize lean initiatives to reduce waste and maintain continuous improvement.
This position requires a government security clearance. You must be a U.S. citizen for consideration.
Work ScheduleThe employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
