Administrative Support Specialist for Global Security Research

Job Summary
The Center for Global Security Research (CGSR) at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Student Administrative Intern to support the daily operations and activities of the Center. As a Student Administrative Intern, you will work alongside the CGSR Administrator to provide administrative support for the Center's activities, including event planning, travel requests, data entry, and other administrative duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support for the daily operations and activities of the Center, including event planning, travel requests, data entry, and other administrative duties.
- Assist the CGSR Administrator with various projects and activities, including preparing correspondence, presentation materials, and other documents.
- Establish and maintain work files and ensure accurate and timely completion of tasks.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the CGSR Administrator.
Qualifications
To be considered for this position, you must be a continuing college or university student in good standing at an accredited institution pursuing an undergraduate degree in business or a related field. You must also possess effective organizational skills, attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through. Additionally, you should have experience working under limited supervision, in an environment of rapidly changing priorities, deadlines, and frequent interruptions.
Preferred Qualifications
A GPA of 3.0 or above is highly desirable. You should also have effective communication and interpersonal skills necessary to interact with a diverse workforce and represent the organization with all levels of management, internal and external to the Laboratory, using tact, diplomacy, and discretion.
