College Guidance Specialist

The Academy Charter Schools is seeking a highly motivated and experienced College Counselor to join our team. As a College Counselor, you will play a critical role in providing guidance and support to students in grades nine through twelve as they navigate the college application process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive college counseling program that meets the needs of assigned students
- Build and maintain relationships with college admissions professionals, community-based organizations, and other stakeholders to provide high-quality services to students
- Guide students and their families through the college admissions and application process, including financial aid and scholarship applications
- Collaborate with school counselors to ensure academic progress and interests are aligned with college goals
- Monitor individual student progress through the college application process and ensure timely submission of school credentials
Requirements:
Qualifications:
- 2-3 years' experience as a college counselor in a high school
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Master's degree in School Counseling from an accredited college or university preferred
- Valid New York State School Counselor certification preferred

Salary Range: $62,500 - $80,000
