**About Us**

Our client, a global leader in commercial transportation safety lighting, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Material Planner to join their team in the Manufacturing industry.

**Job Summary**

We are looking for a skilled Material Planner to manage and optimize our supply chain processes, ensuring the smooth and cost-effective flow of our products from suppliers to customers.

**Responsibilities:**

* Develop and implement effective material planning strategies to ensure the availability of materials and products, and to meet customer demands.
* Manage and maintain purchase orders (POs), ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company standards and procedures.
* Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate prices, establish delivery schedules, and resolve any issues that may arise.
* Utilize Microsoft Suite to maintain accurate records of inventory levels, purchase orders, and supplier information.
* Monitor and analyze supply chain performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing effective solutions.
* Work closely with other departments, such as production and sales, to forecast demand and ensure the availability of products.
* Adhere to and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all supply chain processes.
* Manage and optimize inventory levels to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
* Participate in regular meetings with management to discuss supply chain performance, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.

**Requirements:**

* Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in material planning, inventory management, or a similar role in the Manufacturing industry.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
* In-depth knowledge of supply chain processes and best practices, including purchase orders (POs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
* Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills, with a proven ability to work effectively with suppliers.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize workload effectively, and meet tight deadlines.
* Strong commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
