Job Summary

Early Learning Essentials is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Preschool Assistant Teacher to join our team. As a key member of our preschool staff, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality educational services to our young learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the teacher in delivering comprehensive educational services to Head Start children, including those with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), behavioral support, or health plans.
  • Help children develop socially, intellectually, physically, and emotionally in a developmentally appropriate manner.
  • Ensure services support the agency's school readiness plan and align with the Head Start Performance Standards and Early Learning Essentials' policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or enrollment in a CDA credential program within two years.
  • Experience working with preschool children or preschool lab work leading to a degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) from a recognized institution.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • An Associate or Baccalaureate degree in ECE, Elementary Education, Child Development, or a closely related field from a recognized institution.
  • Bilingual Spanish-speaking is desirable and may be required in some locations.
