Job Title: Preschool Double Session Teacher

Join our team at Early Learning Essentials, a non-profit Head Start organization dedicated to providing high-quality education and support services to children and families in need.

Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified Preschool Double Session Teacher to join our team. As a Preschool Double Session Teacher, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive educational services to children in our preschool program, including those with Individualized Education Plans (IEP), behavioral support or health plans, and English language learners.

Responsibilities

• Deliver developmentally appropriate learning activities to all enrolled children in assigned classrooms
• Provide instruction, supervision, and support to children with diverse needs
• Collaborate with Assistant Teachers, Classroom Aides, and Bus Monitors to ensure a cohesive and effective learning environment
• Manage multiple tasks and develop solutions to problems with limited supervision
• Travel to and from home visits (2x/year) in private vehicle

Requirements

• Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) from a recognized institution
• OR equivalent coursework and experience teaching preschool children
• Official or unofficial transcript showing degree award or confer date
• Bilingual Spanish-speaking is desirable and may be required depending on location

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) from a recognized institution
• Experience working with preschool children in an Early Childhood Education setting or preschool labwork leading to an ECE degree from a recognized institution

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Maintains current inter-rater reliability in Teaching Strategies Gold (TSG)
• Thorough knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate teaching practices
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to handle/re-direct child challenging behaviors
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and develop solutions to problems with limited supervision

Pay Range

$22.39/hour - AA in ECE or related field

$23.50/hour - BA in ECE or related field

The pay structure for classroom staff is set up similar to a school district's with annualized paychecks spread out through the year in bi-weekly pay periods.
