Nursing Services Manager - Senior Living Facility

Overview:

As a pivotal member of the leadership team, the Nursing Services Manager is tasked with overseeing the provision of exceptional nursing care in accordance with both State and Local guidelines. This role involves leading a dedicated team of nursing professionals to ensure a superior experience for all residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Address the emotional, physical, psychological, and safety requirements of residents
  • Administer medications and treatments in line with facility protocols
  • Supervise caregiver personnel, including recruitment and training
  • Respond promptly to resident emergency calls
  • Establish and execute nursing service goals and objectives
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director to maintain a secure work environment and manage the budget

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of nursing experience in a senior living environment
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) certification is mandatory
  • Proven track record of adherence to regulations and professional standards
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Competence in Microsoft Office Suite

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) is preferred
  • Accredited RN degree is advantageous
  • Accredited LPN degree is essential
  • Valid State licensure is required

Physical Requirements:

This position may involve interactions with residents displaying challenging behaviors. Responsibilities include sitting, standing, walking, reaching, verbal communication, and auditory tasks, with occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds. Visual acuity should encompass both near and distant vision.
