Job SummaryThe Test Technician is responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of custom electro-mechanical equipment through leak checking and functional testing. This role involves performing troubleshooting and testing of electronic, electro-mechanical assemblies, automation systems, and machines to meet production schedules. The technician communicates test results and schedules to team members, leads, or supervisors, provides recommendations on improvement opportunities, and maintains adherence to production, test, and quality system procedures. Both manual and automated tests are utilized to perform system-level testing to ensure product quality and reliability in accordance with company specifications. The role requires cooperation in project work teams, documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and needs continuously.Key Responsibilities
  • Perform leak checking and functional testing of custom electro-mechanical equipment
  • Troubleshoot and test electronic, electro-mechanical assemblies, automation systems, and machines
  • Communicate test results and schedules to team members, leads, or supervisors
  • Provide recommendations on improvement opportunities
  • Maintain adherence to production, test, and quality system procedures
Requirements
  • Electronic testing and troubleshooting skills
  • Leak test with Helium experience
  • Final test and failure analysis skills
  • Blueprints and schematics knowledge
Work Environment

This is a fully on-site position in Austin, Texas. The role may involve exposure to hazards such as electrical currents, moving mechanical parts, chemicals, moderate noise levels, and requires wearing personal protective equipment.

The role requires the ability to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push, pull, and grasp, stand for sustained periods, lift up to 25 lbs independently and more with assistance, and move arms, hands, and fingers. Visual acuity to perform assigned tasks is required.
