Job Description

Job Summary:

The Electronics Test Technician will be responsible for testing, troubleshooting, and repairing electronic assemblies to ensure quality conformance. This role requires a strong understanding of electronics components, circuit boards, and test equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Board Assembly Programming and Functional Test Execution: Develop and execute test plans for electronic assemblies, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
  • Failed Board Circuit Troubleshooting and Repair: Identify and repair defects in electronic assemblies, utilizing test equipment and technical documentation.
  • Participation in Functional Verification/Acceptance of Board & Subassembly Test Fixtures: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and validate test fixtures, ensuring accurate and reliable testing.
  • Operate the Flying Probe and AOI Board Verification Test Instruments: Utilize advanced test equipment to verify the functionality of electronic assemblies.
  • Recommendations for Manufacturing Test Fixture Improvements: Analyze test data and provide recommendations for improving test fixture design and functionality.
  • Identification and Communication of Negative Yield and Repair Action Trends: Identify and communicate trends in repair actions and yield, providing insights for process improvements.
  • Follow Production Material Control and Disposition Methods, Policies, and Practices: Adhere to established procedures for material control, disposition, and documentation.
Requirements:
  • Familiarity with Electronics Components: Understand the characteristics and applications of various electronics components, including resistors, capacitors, diodes, inductors, transistors, and ICs.
  • Ability to Read Schematics and Apply Computer Skills: Interpret schematics and apply computer skills to resolve technical problems.

Education and Experience:

  • Associate Degree in Electronics or Relevant Experience: Possess an associate degree in electronics or at least 5 years of relevant experience in electronics testing and repair.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office: Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
