We are seeking a highly qualified Clinical Assistant Professor of Endodontics to join our faculty at Midwestern University's College of Dental Medicine. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in the endodontics specialty, as well as contributing to the development of our academic programs.
Responsibilities- Teach and mentor students in the endodontics specialty, including clinical and didactic instruction
- Contribute to the development of our academic programs, including curriculum design and implementation
- Participate in departmental and college-wide service activities, including committee work and professional development
- Engage in scholarly activity, including research and publication
- Provide clinical supervision and guidance to students
- Develop and maintain a strong clinical practice, including patient care and education
- DDS/DMD degree and a specialty degree in endodontics from a CODA-accredited institution
- Board certification in endodontics is desired
- Minimum of five years of experience in private practice or at an academic health center in endodontics
- Arizona license and DEA license are required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- This position involves being in the dental institute clinic during clinic hours, walking between operatories
- This position requires the ability to work chairside to evaluate procedures being performed by students
- This position requires the ability to sit or stand chairside and demonstrate procedures on a patient or mannequin
- This position requires the ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
