Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Residential Support Specialist to join our team at North Suffolk Community Services Inc. This role involves providing direct care to individuals living in a residential setting, promoting overall health and well-being through skill-building, risk mitigation, and medication administration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage residents in activities that promote their physical and mental health.
  • Assist with daily living skills, transportation, and household tasks.
  • Collaborate with residents to identify personal priorities and preferences.
  • Provide coaching and support to help residents socialize and become more involved in their community.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • At least one year of experience working with individuals with severe and persistent mental illness and/or substance use disorder.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to transport residents as needed.
  • MAP certification and CPR/First Aid training required within five months of hire.

Compensation:

The salary for this position is $20 per hour, with an additional $2.00/hour differential for high-intensity programs. Comprehensive benefits, including paid time off, sick leave, and holidays, are also offered.
