Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough surveys of healthcare facilities to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Utilize your expertise in social work to identify areas of improvement and provide recommendations for corrective action.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement strategies for improving patient care and outcomes.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Travel extensively to conduct surveys and provide training to healthcare professionals.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Social Work.
  • Successful completion of CMS's Long-Term Care Basic Training and passing of the Surveyor Minimum Qualifications Test (SMQT).
  • At least two years of recent experience working as a surveyor accrediting or certifying facilities that serve the residents of long-term care facilities.
  • Current licensure to practice as an LCSW.
  • Demonstrated history of independent decision-making skills to direct and effectively manage the survey process.
  • Ability to set priorities independently and collectively in performing survey tasks.
  • Ability to openly discuss conflicts/controversy, and to seek assistance when appropriate to make decisions and resolve conflicts.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.
  • Ability to travel up to 75% of the time on a regular basis is required.
