Job Title: Supervising Electrical Engineer 3

Amentum is seeking a highly skilled Supervising Electrical Engineer 3 to join our team in Englewood, CO. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for managing the electrical discipline on projects, ensuring that all engineering documents comply with applicable state laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain records, files, and documents related to the electrical discipline.
  • Ensure that engineering documents comply with applicable state laws and regulations.
  • Assign preparers and checkers for electrical discipline specifications and coordinate review of external specifications.
  • Establish schedules and budgets to meet project requirements and obtain approval.
  • Maintain technical coordination with the Principal Engineer to ensure adherence to industry codes, regulatory requirements, and sound engineering practices.
  • Direct the preparation and submission of periodic reports and forecasts on the status of the electrical discipline.
  • Comply with state requirements for continuing education and maintain licenses as requested.
  • Continually upgrade technical knowledge and capabilities and pursue additional coursework and training.
  • Advise the Project Engineering Manager regarding the status of assignments with respect to schedule, budgets, delays, and adverse problems.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from a 4-year accredited college or university.
  • Minimum of 15+ years of experience in electrical engineering/design of DOE, DOD, or power projects.
  • 5+ years of experience in managing/supervising medium to large electrical design teams.
  • Advanced experience in physical design, control, protection, metering, and communication requirements for facilities, including specifying and sizing electrical equipment, power system analysis, and utility interfaces.
  • Strong understanding of Process, Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Architectural, and Instrumentation disciplines.
  • Good oral and written communication skills; working knowledge of word-processing and integrated software applications; organizational skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work.
  • Must have advanced knowledge with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and a Professional Engineer License (PE).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Government facility (DOE, DOD, Army Corps of Engineers) project experience.
Compensation and Benefits:

This position includes a competitive benefits package and a salary range of $145k - $180k, determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
