About the Role

Amentum is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer to join our team in the Englewood, CO office. As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for a variety of engineering tasks in the initial planning through final design for projects of limited complexity under the direct supervision of a Supervising Electrical Engineer or Design Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop electrical systems for government facilities using 2D/3D modeling software
  • Interact with other disciplines, project support groups, vendors, and client representatives as appropriate on assigned projects
  • Initiate and develop engineering drawings through completion in conformance with requirements, applicable codes, and design criteria established by the project
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from a 4-year ABET-accredited college or university
  • 0-3 years of post-graduation professional electrical engineering experience in electrical plant layout design and details
  • Completed coursework in Power Systems Analysis, Power Distribution Systems, Energy and Electric Power or related power courses
  • Working knowledge of 2D AutoCAD software
  • Excellent oral communication and technical writing skills
  • US citizenship required
Preferred Qualifications
  • EIT certification
  • Working experience in electrical physical plant design or electrical building design from a previous internship with an engineering firm
  • AutoCAD, MEP, MicroStation, or REVIT 2D/3D experience
Compensation and Benefits

Amentum offers a competitive benefits package, including a hiring salary range of $60k-$81k, determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities. This position may also require travel and the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance.
